During recreational pilot training course, you will learn the fundamentals of how to fly and safely land an aircraft through practical flying lessons and ground-based theory lessons, before flying solo and completing the RPL flight test.
Your Ticket To Fly
A Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) will allow you to carry up to three passengers and fly within 25 nautical miles of your departure airport, in any CASA registered aircraft, with a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 1,500kgs.
The flight training you have completed during this course will count towards further pilot licence courses such as Private Pilot Licence or Commercial Pilot Licence. There is no need to start your training again.
